JSM concerned over Krishna, PC’s statements | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 21: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has expressed serious concern on the recent statements of Union Foreign Minister SM Krishna, and Union Home Minister P.Chidambram supporting the statement of Omar Abdullah made on the floor assembly disputing the integrity of J&K state with India. In a handout issued here today, JSM has said that statements of these two union ministers raise doubts about resolve and understanding of present indian government about the Jammu and Kashmir issue. The stand taken by these two ministers has dangerous consequences and is against integrity of country, the handout maintains. It has stressed that the two statements have the potential of encouraging secessionism in the valley and emboldening separatists in putting forward their agenda. Morcha also expressed concern over the appointment of three Interlocutors and said that statement of the Home Minister about the agenda set for these interlocutors is to work out a solution that accommodates separatists. JSM again re-iterates that aspirations of the nationalist elements in valley and people of Jammu and Ladakh need to be addressed in any solution that is worked out. It also re-iterated its demand for division of the state into three separate political units for Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir Valley and centrally administered area within Valley for Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities. Those who attended the meeting included Prof. Virender Gupta, H. B. Khajuria, Capt. Anil Gour, Digvijay Singh, Chandra Uday Sharma, Virender Magotra, and Surjeet Singh.
