| SAC, Sikh Front support Nov 6 Jammu Bandh call | | | POONCH-30- SHARNARTHI Action Committee (SAC) (Non Camp) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Prof Barkat Singh Azad has unanimously decided to support the Bandh call given by the United Refugees Front Jammu. The committee expressed full confidence and solidarity with Rajiv Chuni in his struggle to focus attention of the authorities towards the problems of PoK refugees. The meeting strongly criticized the successive State and Central Governments for ignoring this ethnic entity in every field. The meeting felt that even after 60 years of Independence, the refugees numbering about 12 lakh have been denied their social, economic and political rights. ‘Instead of lessening the difficulties their problems have been compounded by enacting draconian and black laws like SRO 215 and Re-settlement Act’, the committee said adding that there is no alternative left but to come on the streets to fight for genuine rights. The Committee decided to participate in their struggle to achieve the goal of the Front and has accordingly appealed to all refugees and their sympathizers to participate and make the Bandh call a success. In the meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir National Sikh Front in its meeting held at Nanak Nagar here under the chairmanship of its President Virenderjeet Singh has also extended its support to the November 6 Bandh Call given by the United Refugees Front
