| 4 illegal shops demolished by JMC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 22: Under the instructions of SC Sawhney, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, the enforcement staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation led by Satish Khajuria Chief Enforcement Officer demolished the unauthorized construction of four shops at Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu which were being raised in violation of the building plan at Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu.
The demolition operation was carried out with the help of police force. The Jammu Municipal Corporation has appealed to the general public to seek the proper building permission before raising any construction work to avoid action which may lead to demolition of unauthorized and illegal constructions.
The staff has been directed to be more vigilant and ensure that no unauthorized construction or encroachment take place in their respective areas of jurisdiction. Besides SC Sawhney, the health officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith team of food inspectors continued the drive to check the quality of food items being sold in the city especially during forthcoming Diwali Festival.
