Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 22: Beginning their exercise of meeting different political shades of People of Jammu and Kashmir state, Interlocutors on Kashmir Dilip Padgaokar, Radha Kumar and M M Ansari appointed by GOI invited the delegation of Panun Kashmir led by Dr. Agnisheker its convener for political discourse on future of seven hundred thousand displaced Kashmiri Pandits in exile in India International Centre (IIC) Delhi.
The delegation comprised of nine members including President Vijay Bhat, National spokesman Kamal Hak, Rajinder Koul, Sanjay Dattatreya, Vijay Handoo, Rahul Razdan, Sanjay Raina and Veer Wangoo. The delegation of Panun Kashmir made a forceful presentation wherein it said that the Kashmir has become a complex issue which requires mature understanding and dispassionate handling.
It said that the team is adequately competent to understand nuances of the complexities pertaining to the different political streams flowing in present day Kashmir. Panun Kashmir added that it represents geo-political aspirations of seven hundred thousand displaced Kashmiri Pandits and seeks to establish a union territory for the community in north and east of river jhelum in Kashmir with the free flow of indian constitution.
It also said that creation of permanent homeland would not only dispense legitimate justice to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits but will also re-establish the Indian presence in Kashmir. They told the committee of interlocutors that displaced Kashmiri Pandits are an ethnic minority who believe in Indian civilizational ethos. They further said that any solution to Kashmir formulated without taking the Kashmiri Pandit voice into consideration will be totally bereft of any legitimacy.
Also in light of the vociferous articulation of Azadi by the Kashmir separatists in Delhi yesterday, apparently with the full approval of the Indian state, they said that voice of Kashmiri Pandits assumes greater significance. Kashmiri Pandits would like to reiterate its position for creation of a separate union territory for them in North and East of river Jehlum in Kashmir, added Panun Kashmir.
