| PHE employees stage protest, raise demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 21: Employees and workers of PHE Rural (Mechanical) Division today held a demonstration under the banner of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association against alleged delay by the authorities in meeting their demands.
The protest was led by Provincial Vice-President of PHE employees Charanjeet Singh. Employees shouted slogans against non-serious attitude of the authorities alleging that they had submitted a charter of demands but they are yet to meet any of their demands.
Many leaders spoke on the occasion. They said that the C.P. Workers are getting Rs. 500 per month. They demanded that the wages of C.P Workers should be brought at par with other daily wagers while daily wagers who have completed seven years in service should be regularized.
Leaders warned the authorities that if their genuine demands are not considered immediately, association shall be forced to take drastic step of agitation, consequence ogf which the concerned authorities would have to face. Leaders who spoke on the occasion included Anchal Singh, Radhey Sham, Joginder Dogra, Vijay Luthra, Raman Kumar, Madan Lal and others.
