| IGP Kashmir promotes 163 HCs as ASIs | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 22: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone S.M.Sahai today issued promotion orders in respect of one hundred and sixty-three Head-constables of Kashmir Zone as Assistant Sub-Inspectors, following recommendations of departmental promotion committee.
IGP has also approved another 121 Head-constables for next promotion, subject to their successful completion of promotion courses. Departmental promotion committee which was constituted by the Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir had scrutinized the service records of 325 Head constables.
Out of these 284 Head constables were found fit for promotion, while 25 were unfit and 16 cases were kept in sealed cover as they were facing departmental proceedings at present. Departmental promotion committee in respect of other promotions to the rank of selection grade constable and Head constable are also in progress and will be completed soon.
