PDP threatens to launch agitation

JAMMU, Oct 23: Expressing grave concern over mounting problems of the common masses due to wrong policies of coalition regime headed by National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today announced to launch agitation against failure of the government to solve day today problems of the people.
Addressing a meeting of the prominent party workers of Jammu district (Urban), PDP district president R.K.Bali said that during the last 20 months, problems of the people have increased manifold because Ministers of this regime are more concerned about enjoying power rather than solving basic problems of the people.
Reprimanding coalition government for turning a blind eye towards problems of the common masses, Bali said that scarcity of drinking water in most parts of Jammu city speaks about the casual approach of the government in providing basic amenities to the people.
"During the last two years residents of Jammu city and adjoining localities have been confronting problem of scarcity of drinking water but promises of the authorities have remained only on papers", he regretted
He said that lower middle class and BPL families are forced to bear brunt of the wrong policies of the government. He said that PDP workers have repeatedly asked concerned authorities to streamline supply of ration in government run depots but to no avail.
He regretted that government is not interested in solving problems of poor masses. Ashok Jogi, Rafiq Malik, Chaman Angral, Rashpal Billoria, Mohan Choudhary, Bharat Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ravi Salgotra, Kamal and Raj Kumar also addressed the meeting.
