Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: MLA Udhampur and state president of Jammu and Kashmir National Panther party Balwant Singh Mankotia has begun taking lead role in raising issues concerning the people of Jammu region.
If the people are to be believed, Mankotia is all set to don the cap of his relative and MLA Ramnagar Harshdev Singh who is off and on heard raising issues of discrimination with Jammu region. However, the manner in which Mankotia has begun taking the lead role, he is likely to leave Harshdev behind.
This is not the first time, when young Mankotia, raised the voice of people of Jammu, he has always put forth demands and aspirations of the people of Jammu before the government, whether in public rallies or in legislative assembly. Some of the analysts are of the opinion that Balwant Singh Mankotia is more vocal than Harshdev Singh.
Harshdev Singh, who has also win the best legislatures award is now running behind Mankotia in terms of raising issues. No doubt, Harshdev, who is in Assembly for the 3rd consecutive time, but Man-kotia, who has emerged winner from Udhampur second time, is ahead of his senior colleague.
Recently, in Srinagar legislative complex, Man-kotia was forefront is condemning anti-national stat-ement of Chief Minister (CM) Omar Abdullah and even while being dragged of the legislative complex by the Marshals, Mankotia kept shouting slogans against the Chief Minister. Mankotia has also impressed the public by his oratory skills.
He also tours his constituency off and on where he keeps interacting with his voters and common man. He also tries to redress genuine demands of the people of Udhampur constituency. Presently, Mankotia is holding five to six meetings every day in Jammu and is touring extensively far off places also.
He is working hard for people of this region.
Recently Mankotia has asked the state government and Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth trust to address demand of various associations and people of Jammu to reopen locked gates of historic and most revered Raghunath Te-mple.
He has also sought vacation of Tara Dhara-mshala from the occupation of security forces and reopening of park inside temple complex for common public.
He also warned government of serious consequences if the matter was not resolved before November 5, 2010 and threatened agitation if the government did not pay any heed to the genuine demands and aspirations of people of Jammu and the devotees coming from all over the country to pay obeisance at the historic temple.
Mankotia further said that the government which has declared Raghunath Temple and market as a heritage site and sanctioned an amount of more than one crore for its development has failed to take note of the problem faced by the devotees and common people.
As such People have begun seeing him as the true representative of Jammu region.
Mankotia is truly an emerging leader of the masses and is representing the aspirations of the people of Jammu region. He also raise voice against the Govt which till date has not solved the missing mystery of two girls of district Kishtwar.
