JAMMU, Oct 23: The mercury fell in Jammu region with the upper reaches, including Poonch and Kishtwar districts, experiencing season's first snowfall Friday night.It started snowing last evening in the upper reaches of Sabzian, Loran, Chikriban, Bafliaz Kali Morh and Thanpir in Poonch district, official sources said. About two to three feet of snow had accumulated at these places till midnight, the sources added.
Sources said the higher areas of Marwah, Dachchan, Warwan and Paddar in Kishtwar district also received snowfall yesterday. Higher areas of Kashmir, including Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Ana-ntnag, Shopian and Qazigund also experienced the season's first snowfall.
