Chib inaugurate 16th NZ Radiation Oncologists Conference organised | | | EARLY TIMES report JAMMU, Oct 23 : Saying that the health sector has been flagged as one of the priortised areas and efforts are on in to expand the access of specialized treatment in the state, the Minister for Health Education R S Chib said the state has a distinction of having two full-fledged c centers in the state one each in Jammu and Srinagar. He said that the centers are well equipped and 1500 hundred to 2000 patients, including those coming from neighboring Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are given treatment every year. The minister stated this after inaugurating 16th annual North Zone Radiation Oncologists Conference attended by over hundred delegates from across the Northern states of the country. Giving details about the efforts taken by the state government for improving health sector, a Task Force have been constituted under the chairman ship of chief minister on health sector reforms. Making a mention about the upcoming super specialty hospitals in Jammu and Srinagar, he said that with their completion the health services in the state will be revolutionized. Earlier, Dr Rahul Sharma, organizing Secretary presented the welcome address and gave a detailed resume of the activities to be taken up during the conference. |
