JAMMU, October 23: Government High School Manja clinched gold in 4x100 meters relay in under-14 age groups in the left out events of the inter-school girls athletics meet of Jammu district held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at University of Jammu tracks here today.
The second place went to KBP Jammu while BSF School Paloura finished third. In other two age groups of relay, BSF School bagged first place in under-19 while under-17 gold went to MHAC Nagbani
Earlier, the competitions could not be completed yesterday due to showers. Besides relays in all three age groups, a couple of field and track events were also conducted today.

Under-19 yr: Triple Jump: Anupama BSF School, Ist; Anamika, MHAC Nagbani, 2nd and Poonam Baloria, GHSS Satwari, third. 4x100 mts Relay: BSF School (Diksha Sharma, Rozy, Priyanka Sharma and Rashmi), Ist; MHAC Nagbani (Anamika Sharma, Gunjan Sharma and Riya Sharma), 2nd and KBP Jammu (Shahida Parveen, Sureya Anjum, Tahira and Yasmeen Chowdhary), third.
Under-17 yr: Triple Jump: Anju Tata, HSS Satwari, Ist; Reetika Bhardwaj, MHAC Nagbani, 2nd and Seema Kumari, GHSS Gharota, third. 4x100 mts: MHAC Nagbani (Suvidha Sareen, Vrindha Sharma, Jyotika Thakur and Rekha Bhardwaj), Ist; Army School Kaluchak (Sonia Devi, Kammi Chib, Jasmeen Chib and Supriya Bhat), 2nd and GHSS Channi Himmat (Sakeena Chowdhary, Zahida Parveen, Irshad Bano and Sonia Chowdhary), third.
Under-14 yr: 200 mts: Fahima Kossar, KBP Jammu, Ist; Tayipa Anjum, BSF School, 2nd and Megha Kesar, HT Convent Dansal, third. 4x100 mts: GHS Manja (Rekha, Sapna, Rajni and Kiran), Ist; KBP Jammu (Fahima, Sonia, Nadhia and Iqra Meer), 2nd and BSF School (Tayiba, Diksha, Richa and Priya Sharma), third. |
