Agri professionals complete two month training course | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 24: Indian Society of Agribusiness Professional (ISAP) in partnership with National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad completed two months training programme on 'Agriclinics and Agribusness Centres Scheme' for 9th batch comprising of 32 trainees of agriculture and allied subject graduates. The Valediction Function of the training programme was chaired by Joint Director Horticulture (JDH) Jammu Jadhav Lal Sharma. Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Jammu S.R.Galotra also participated in the concluding session. ACABC scheme aims at supplementing the existing extension network to accelerate process of technology transfer to agriculture and providing supplementary sources of input supply and services, for which, by and large farmers presently depend upon State agencies. Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) stressed upon the importance of this scheme and called upon the trainees that they should avail golden opportunity in establishing their ventures for self-employment. He also mentioned that these trainees can take benefit under ATMA scheme, of which he is the Nodal Officer. Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Dr Vijay Puri, one of the trainees, emphasized that positive attitude and hard work is needed in making any enterprise a success and suggested to his colleagues a similar approach. Earlier, Project Officer of the training programme M.S.Nargal gave brief account of the ACABC training programme, its objectives, benefits, subsidy components, and types of projects which can be taken up by these trainees. |
