Teachers regret J&K govt's delaying tactics | Arrears of 6th pay commission | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 24: Jammu and Kashmir Teacher's Forum (JKTF) today strongly regretted failure of state government in redressing their genuine demands which includes pending payment of arrears of 6th pay commission. They discussed in detail the pending demands which include release of arrears of 6th pay commission, removal of pay anomaly in master grade, enhancement of honorarium of RETs with a minimum of basic pay of the teacher, restoration of senior teacher grade, regularization of headmasters/lecturers/ ZEOs/ principals and framing of transfer policy for RETs after regularization in a convocation held here today. Those who thronged the venue of the convention from different places reflected the tireless efforts made by the Forum under the leadership of State General Secretary of JKTF Ganesh Khajuria. Speaker's condemned state government for not giving them any relief. They said that pay grade of 6500-200-10500 of other government employees of the state was raised to the grade of 7450-225-11500 while same grade of Masters in the education department was given step- motherly treatment. Teachers resolved to organize such conventions at the zonal and Tehsil levels in all the districts of Jammu province in the coming months. Prominent among them who addressed the convention included Ganesh Khajuria, Gopal Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Bhupinder Shastri, Farid Ahmed Fani, Satish Dutta, Gopal Sharma, Gurjit Singh, Surat Singh Toofani , Ashok Raina, Vishwamitter Sharma, Zakir Pir, Darshan Sharma, Surinder Singh, Dharminder Singh, Yash Pal Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma, Ghulam Hussain Gamma, Bhupesh Choudhary, Paramjit Singh Khalsa and Naresh Sharma.
