| Love birds end life in Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, Oct 24: THE Rajouri police recovered bodies of a young girl and a boy who were found hanging from a tree in a forest area of Rajouri here today. Sources said that the duo were having an affair but belonged to different castes.
Police sources said that they have recovered bodies of a girl Samiksha Devi alias Goldi (19) daughter of Daleep Singh and Bansi Lal (23) son of Pritim Singh, both residents of Godar Nadian in Rajouri tehsil from Argi area of Rajouri. They said that the bodies were hanging from a tree and were first spotted by a local resident.
As per sources, the girl was missing for the last three days and her father Daleep Singh had lodged a missing report. Sources said that in his report he had alleged that his daughter had been kidnapped by Bansi Lal.
According to villagers, when a local resident was on its way to Poien forest nearby the village, he found two bodies hanging from a tree following which he informed police.
A police team led by Station House Officer Police Station Rajouri Deepak Jastrotia reached the spot and brought the bodies down from the tree. Police have lodged a report.
Though the actual reason behind their death could not be ascertained, however, police is working out the case on two angles- suicide and murder.
When contacted, Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajouri Shabir Choudhary said that they have found bodies hanging from a tree in the forest area of Argi. "We are investigating the matter and nothing can be said till the investigation is completed", he said, adding, police is shifting the bodies for postmortem. |
