| On spot ‘Essay Writing Competition’ held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 25: Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu on Monday held on the spot ‘Essay Writing Competition’ under the ongoing ‘Display Your Talent 2010-11’.
The topics for the contest were “Cell Phone Usage among Youth”, “Why Education is Important” and “Is India fit for Democracy”? The participants were required to write an essay comprising 2000 to 3000 words in English or Hindi Languages within the given time of sixty minutes.
The result of the competition would be declared after the evaluation of the scripts.
Dr. Anupama Vohra, teacher in-charges made the participants conversant with the Rules and Regulations of the event and supervised the competition.
Among others Prof Versha Mehta, chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Jasbir Singh, co-chairman, Campus Cultural Committee and Dr Anju Thapa, were also present on the occasion. There will be on the spot ‘Short Story Writing’ contest tomorrow at
Examination Hall, University of Jammu.
