10/25/2010 10:01:40 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, October 25: Terming the present dispensation headed by Omar Abdullah as anti-farmers, PDP leaders said that the government has miserably failed to solve basic problems of the common masses and vowed to expose anti-farmers and anti-people policies being pursued by the coalition government .
Addressing a meeting of prominent party workers to Jammu rural organised by district president Thakur Suram Singh, PDP leaders said that failure of the Omar Abdullah government can be evident from the fact that every section of the society has been annoyed with the functioning of this regime.
PDP leaders observed that all sections of the society have been agitating against this government due to the policies being adopted by this regime headed by Omar Abdullah. They said that irrigation facilities have become non functional as de-silting of the canals were not done properly. Party leaders remarked that since formation of this government not even a single promise has been fulfilled so far. They reminded that during the campaign of last assembly elections, ruling National Conference made promises to solve problems of all sections of the society but these promises were confined only to the election manifesto of the party because except promises this regime has done
nothing..
Calling upon the party workers to take up issues of the masses, PDP leaders asserted that party being the main opposition group would not remain a mute spectator to the misdeeds of the coalition. They said that PDP would come on streets to force the government to take some effective steps to solve problems of the common masses.
