Rajouri police tighten nose on thieves | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, OCT 25: With incidents of thefts increasing in Rajouri for the last two months, Rajouri Police has started tightening nose on the burglars. Police sources said that they had received an input about a gang of thieves operating in Rajouri on the basis of which they raided a house in Rajouri and arrested Aftab Ali son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Ward no 4 Rajouri and Mohammad Gafoor son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Gambhir Mughalan Rajouri. Both were found involved in theft of laptop computers in Rajouri Police has recovered two laptops and some mobile phone chargers from their possession. For the last two months, there were more than a dozen incidents of thefts in which thieves stole ornaments, electronic items and other gadgets from residences and shops of the people. Even thieves strike at a temple and Mosque and looted ornaments and donation money from it. Police finally got success on Monday when they broke the cycle of thieves by arresting two locals. Police sources said that more arrests are likely in near future.
