| New LAHDC formed, members administered oath | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
LEH, Oct 25: In a ceremony today the District Development Commissioner Leh administered oath to all the 25 members of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh.
Rigzin Spulber who won from two constituencies has been unanimously elected as the new Chief executive council.
The oath ceremony was start at 11 am at Leh polo ground. Apart from government officials thousands of commoners were also present to witness the oath ceremony.
Most of the councilors took oath in English but a few of them relied on mother tongue Ladakhi.
Minister of Tourism Nawang Rigzin Jora along with senior Congress leaders including P Namgyal and Mohd Shafi Lasu were also present in the oath ceremony function.
A tea party was also hosted by District Development Commissioner after the oath ceremony was over.
