UDHAMPUR, October 25: Three-day inter-school athletics meet (boys and girls under-19), ogranised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
On the opening day, various field and track events took place in girls section. The boys’ competitions shall be conducted during next two days of the meet.
In all, 55 girls representing seven different institutions of the district took part in the day-long event.
On the opening day of the event, Assistant Director DYSS, Ashok Kumar, who holds additional charge of the district Udhampur, was chief guest. He distributed medals among the winners of various events.
The competitions were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Vaishno Devi, Manorma Bharti, Poonam Sharma, Pushipinder Kour, Naveen Sharma.
