| J&K draws blank in T20, loses to Punjab by 29 runs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 25: Jammu and Kashmir today lost their fifth match in a row when they were beaten by Punjab by 29 runs in the North Zone Twenty20 League Tournament for Mushtaq Ali Trophy at Delhi. Earlier, Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first. They set a target of 141 runs for the loss of eight wickets. AD Parashar (29), SK Kunwar (24), BB Sharma (21), Ravi Inder Singh (19) and Jaskaran Singh (16) runs were the main contributors for Punjab. From J&K, Abid Nabi, Raman Dutta and Dhruv Mahajan scalped two wickets each while Sameer Khajuria and Samiullah Beigh shared apiece each. Batting second, J&K could manage only 111 runs in the allotted quota of 20 overs losing six wickets. Arshid Bhat was top scorer with 43-ball 43 runs while Abid Nabi contributed 16-ball 16 runs to the score. Samiullah was another batsman to score in double figure with 13 runs in his account. Ian Dev Singh, Shashi Kumar and Dhruv Mahajan failed to touch the double figure mark. From Punjab, MS Gony bagged three wickets, followed by SS Ladda, who took two. Earlir, J&K lost to Services, Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh in similar fashion.
