NAB INDIA reviews Sahyog’s field work | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 25: To review and monitor the welfare activities run by Sahyog India, Jagdish Chouhan Coordinator National Association for the Blind (NAB), Mumbai visited Sahyog’s office. Sahyog India in collaboration with NAB INDIA under IEP-Integrated Education Programme is carrying out work for the rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired. During field visits and extensive touring to the border areas, Chouhan interacted with the blind persons, (the beneficiaries) and their guardians and parents regarding the improvement in their lives and made them to realize the benefits of brail. He said that the blind and visually impaired persons are entitled for jobs in Govt and Non Govt sectors and they can also run their own business but it is only the initiative what is required and it is only possible if they are given a chance to get required education and training. Jagdish Chouhan appreciated the role and commitment of the staff engaged for specific job of imparting education to them after getting training from NAB INDIA under IEP for smooth implementation of the programme with result oriented approach. Chauhan also lauded the role of Sahyog India for other social activities for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
