| Govt urged for assessment of crop loss | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 26: All J &K Kissan Union (AJKKU), Chairman, Ashok Sharma has urged the State Government to direct for assessment of paddy crop loss due to recent hail storm in Jammu region and provide adequate compensation to the farmers who suffered the losses due to natural calamity, in a press statement issued here today.
Mr. Sharma also demanded the provision for cattle and crop insurance on government expense to the farmers, so that the farmers do not suffer due to such eventualities. |
