Pandits lash out at Arundhati, feel insulted at 'Government inaction'
10/26/2010 10:10:09 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 26: Roots in Kashmir a frontline organisation of Kashmiri Pandits is utterly dismayed at the Government's inaction in acting against the enemies of this nation.
The statement issued by Arundhati Roy today as a continuation of her earlier comments reveals the insidious nature of her propaganda of hate. While she does mention about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits in her statement, may one ask her how many times has she been to the refugee camps of Pandits in Jammu? How many times has she taken on the Islamic militants who burnt temples of Pandits and their houses, killed them and raped their women? We do not need her crocodile tears. We can see through her tricks and are better off without such pseudo intellectual apologists of hate and terror. If she indeed is concerned about the plight of Pandits then she ought to know not to share space with the likes of Geelani and Yasin Malik. It is them who forced Pandits out of their homes and it is them who Arundhati connives with. She cannot be a wolf and lamb at the same time. We know she uses "anti-India activism" to boost her sagging career as a writer but let her not use us for this.
Kashmiri Pandits who protested against Geelani's hate speech (in Delhi at LTG auditorium) were beaten and their clothes were torn by the so called supporters of "free speech" yet it is strange that while we were arrested and detained and physically man handled both by the authorities as well as the organizers, the authorities are still "mulling over options" when it comes to pseudo-intellectuals like Arundhati Roy, mobsters like Geelani and terror supporters like S.A.R. Geelani not to mention Varavara Rao and other Maoist apologists.
We are warning the government that if it fails to act against Geelani, Roy and others we will have no option but to resort to legal recourse not just against them but even against the state for granting permission to such a programme which is against the spirit of the Indian Constitution
