J& K skaters win national hockey title | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 27: Taking part in the All India Invitational Rink Hockey Championships under the banner of J& K Roller Skating Association, the senior men’ s team won the championship trophy. In the final, J& K trounced Chandigarh by seven goals to three to lift the championship that played at Mussoorie in Dehradun on October 24. Jugraaj Singh was star striker netting four goals while Sanjeev Gupta despite being injured, contributed three.
In junior boys’ category, J& K bagged runners-up trophy. In the final, Rupinder scored three goals and Rahi one. Meanwhile, on teams’ return, president of the Association, G S Khurmi congratulated the boys and invited them at Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peer Kho to appreciate their achievement. He laid stress on consistency in the performance at the national level.
