During their visit to Jaipur, the students visited Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jai Gadh Fort, Jal Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and City Palace. Thereafter, the tour participants were taken to Ajmer, where they visited Ajmer Sharif. The tour after an eventfull tour of Delhi, Jaipur and Ajmer then started off for their next destination, Jammu. In Jammu, they visited Bahu Fort.
During the tour, the children had the rare opportunity to experience air travel from Jammu to Delhi and rail travel from Ajmer to Jammu. The children were also privileged to meet and interact with the President of India Pratibha Devi Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Successful completion of this tour has resulted in closer relationship between the locals and the Army. It has also developed a deep sense of belonging to the nation amongst these children of remote areas.
This gesture by the Army will generate better trust and goodwill amongst the masses besides winning their hearts and minds.
