Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 27: Chaman Lal Gupta has alleged that Congress led UPA government at the centre and National Conference-Congress coalition in the state are treading dangerous path resulting in more and more sufferings to the people and ever increasing threats to the unity and integrity of the country.
Addressing series of functions on the eve of Accession Day of J&K with Indian Union, Prof. Gupta said because of the signing of the Instrument of Accession by the Maharaja Hari Singh on October 26, 1947, this state had legally and later on constitutionally come to be an integral part of India. The brave soldiers of had cleared most of the areas from the clutches of the invaders.
“It was unfortunate that when our troops were fast marching pushing back the enemy, Jawahar Lal Nehru at the behest of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah under certain foreign machination halted their advancement and went for a cease-fire. This was the first major folly”, said Gupta.
Assailing the controversial statement of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in the Assembly, Prof. Gupta said that it was highly intriguing that instead of demonishing the Chief Minister for his highly objectionable act, the certain senior ministers do not see anything objectionable in this obnoxious statement of Omar Abdullah. But it was surprising that while some congress ministers do not see anything wrong in the utterances of Chief Minister, several senior leaders of the congress in Jammu are terming the speech of Omar as "Childish" and raising their accusing fingers
He asked the people to take note of the wrongs being committed by the congress and dubious role being played by the National Conference as their follies could lead to more and more complex problems. In this regard, the BJP leaders particularly referred to the appointment of three interlocutors by the Centre and said that their movements are providing encouragement to separatists and recognition to dubious characters who have little footing amongst the masses and had always been playing in the hands certain internal and external agencies.
Prof. Gupta addressed and participated in over a dozen meetings and function in Jammu city West Constituency along. He was accompanied several party office bearers and activists. He was accompanied by Smt. Pushpa Wazir, Parduman Singh, Chander Mohan Gupta, Surinder Sharma, Ayodhya Gupta, Krishan Lal Gupta, Prabhat Singh, Dr. Mohan Lal Gupta, Kaku Shah, Munish Khajuria and Vijay Gupta.
