| KBM celebrates accession day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 27: Kashmir Bachao Manch (KBM) Haryana organised a series of public programmes at Karnal, Kaithal, Gurgaon,Faridabad, Panipat and Yamunanagar in the state over the last five days.
The pubic programmes and seminars were organized in connection with accession day of Jammu and Kashmir being organized throughout the length and breadth of the country this week. These functions were attended by large number of prominent people of the areas which included social and political activists, doctors, engineers, teachers, businessmen, lawyers and professional college students.
All the programmes began with recitation of national song and concluded with national anthem. President of Panun Kashmir Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo was main speaker in these functions who made his presentation in the programmes regarding prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Air Marshal Ranjeet Singh Bedi, Vijay Setia, Darshan Lal, Prof. Sripal, Dr. Gopal Krishna, eminent educationists and Major Gurdeep Singh were the other personalities who attended these functions at various places.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo in his address said that Kashmir is an important national issue and needs attention of the whole nation. He stressed that recent appointment of the Interlocutors for Jammu and Kashmir has made situation more complicated because of their unwarranted statements on the status of Jammu and Kashmir. Other speakers in their speeches said that the whole nation stands by the patriotic people of Jammu and Kashmir.
They cautioned the government of India to desist from any misadventure in Kashmir and instead should deal firmly with the situation concerning the security, unity and integrity of the nation. A special reference to the struggle of displaced people from Jammu and Kashmir was also made in the functions throughout.
