Grameen Bank organizes capacity building programme | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 27: For providing total financial inclusion to rural women, Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank organized one day capacity Building Programme for self help group members here today with NABARD financial support. The Programme was inaugurated by Deputy General Manager, Regional Office, NABARD, Jammu M.S Choudhary. While speaking during the function, Choudhary advised self-help group members to motivate at least rural women for opening of no frills accounts and to avail small loans as per their skill and availability under microfinance for taking up economic activity for their growth and development. Chairman of the Bank Raja Abdul Lateef welcomed the chief guest. Chairman asked the Self Help Group Members to initiate all possible steps for greater financial inclusion & to avail Microfinance from the bank for greater inclusion. He informed SHG Members that majority of the Indian population even do not have a bank account. He stressed SHG members that bank in very keen to have linkage of more and more self help groups so that greater financial inclusion can be achieved. Chairman also thanked them for participating in the Programme. General Manager M.K.Vij also highlighted the role of Financial Inclusion for the SHG Members. Other who attended the function included Manager NABARD Sanjay Kumar and Chief of Audit and Inspection A.K.Gupta and other officials of the bank.
