| “Adoption of Transworld Muslim University Bill in Assembly a serious development”: Chaman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 28: Alleging their secularism is just a farce, the leader of the BJP Legislators Party, Chaman Lal Gupta has observed that though there is plethora of instances to establish this serious charge against the Congress-National Conference gang up, the latest one is the adoption of the Transworld Muslim University Bill in the State Assembly is a very serious development. This proposed University is to be fully controlled and funded by a most controversial international body which is headquartered in Pakistan where it is operating as a political outfit too, in unison with Muslim Muttihada Majislas-e-Amal having several members of the Pak-Assembly with radical outlook and running several Madarssas and educational institutions of Salfia teachings of Wahhabi outlook.
With the support of Congress the National Conference member’s Private Bill was mysteriously adopted in the absence of entire opposition which was protesting against the most controversial speech of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah challenging the finality of the Accession and raising several issues linked with the future of the State, he added and quoted several other instances to prove that the claims of these two parties do not fit in with their actions.
The BJP leader was responding to the complaints that many migrants from Pak-held areas during the troubled days of 1947 and some later on in search of their livelihood had left for different parts of India as also abroad but now their children are being denied the State Subject Certificates on the plea that they are neither having the ration cards nor their names do not figure in the voters lists of the State.
The BJP leader asserted that though the Congress-National Conference claim to be secular but their approach is still communal which is the root cause of so many problems including prevailing religious extremisms and mob-terrorism in the Valley of Kashmir.
Gupta assured the deputations that he and his party would continue to oppose and expose the pseudo secularism, and see if any solution could be evolved to secure the rights of the migrants living outside the State.
