Interlocutors should remain in limits: BJP
10/28/2010 9:57:36 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 28: The Interlocutors appointed by the Centre should not cross their limits. Instead of making objectionable statements, they should act as representatives of the Union Government and concentrate on what they have been tasked for.
This was stated here today by BJP Jammu district president Rajesh Gupta while addressing party activists who were holding protest demonstration against the remarks of the Interlocutors at Jammu.
Rajesh Gupta, expressing party’s resentment over the utterances of the Interlocutors in Kashmir and at Jammu, said that in just four days of their stay in the state, they have made such remarks which indicate that they are here with an already decided agenda and the solution to the problem in J&K.
He said one after other such remarks like inclusion of Pakistan in talks over Kashmir issue, setting up of frame work for Azadi, terming Kashmir as disputed, favouring amendment in Indian constitution and comparing the nationalist people and political parties with anti-national and pro-separatist organisations, have totally exposed these persons and their intentions.
He reminded the interlocutors that J&K is an integral part of India and there is no need to involve Pakistan.
As for Azadi, these people should know that every individual in J&K is enjoying freedom ( Azadi) like any other citizen of India.
It should also be kept in mind by the Interlocutors that there is a great difference between anti-national and nationalist people. While the anti-national elements and separatists have been working over night to disintegrate this part of the country, it is the nationalist people and such organizations which are working towards complete integration of the state with rest of the country.
He also asked the interlocutors to not give an impression that they are working as agents of some forces inimical to the nation.
