Army officers of 4 countries interacts Indian troops at Rajouri

EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, OCT 28: To boost Indian army and have an interaction on the strategies of counter terrorist operations, army officers of 4 countries on Thursday visited Rajouri and met troops and officers of Romeo Force at their Palma headquarter.
As per reports, army officers of Japan, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Myanmar today paid visit to Palma where they met with Indian army officers and troops and have an interaction over the strategies being evolved by the Indian army in counter terrorists operations in Pir Panjal region. Army officers of these India friendly nations have long meetings with the troops during which they shared their experiences of the counter insurgency. The officers appreciated Indian army role in fighting terrorists in this tough terrain.
Accompanied by team of National Defence College Course comprising of 15 Senior Defence Officers, foreign army officers visited army camps for an exposure to the Rashtriya Rifles. The officers were briefed on the concept and execution of Counter terrorist operations being undertaken by the Force and how the situation has remained mostly controlled south of the Pir Panjal Range
The National Defence College, New Delhi is a premier institution which imparts education in National and International Security related fields to selected senior defence and civil services officers. Every year it conducts a 47 week long course on National Security and Strategic Studies, which is attended by defence officers of Brigadier and equivalent rank and senior civil services officers from India and friendly foreign countries. The group of the visiting officers were from this course.
During interactions how similar operation are being undertaken in other countries was also discussed so that both sides could gain from the experience of each other. The tour left the location of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) at 1600 hours on the same day.
