| NC leader tours Ramban villages | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 28: National Conference (NC) leader Sajjad Shaheen undertook extensive tour of remote villages of Neel in Ramban district and held series of meetings in villages namely Khawra, Zarari, Panchaldar, Bohardar, Ganmana, Sapalmandu, Parihinder, Halla, and Harwari. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a number of deputations met Shaheen and apprised him about problems being faced by people in the area related to non-availability of basic facilities like drinking water, electricity, proper health care facilities, road connectivity and shortage of teaching staff in local schools. People complained about deteriorated condition of Neel-Bhatoo road which is in a bad shape. People also expressed anguish over delay in the construction of Neel-Zarari road going on under PMGSY but road has been left incomplete by the contractor and demanded completion of the road without delay. While addressing the meeting, Shaheen said that development of backward and far flung areas especially places which remain cut off during winter is priority of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Shaheen appealed people to strengthen hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who, he said is working sincerely to restore peace across the state. Shaheen was accompanied by Block presidents of Neel, Pogal and Khari.
