| Rs.2400 fined under FPA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, OCT 28: A team of Health Department under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Baseer Ahmed Khan conducted a special checking drive in Udhampur town to prevent the sale of adulterated food items including sweets and other eatable which are in high demand in the ensuing festivals.
The owners of the different establishments were fined to the tune of Rs.2400/- and destroyed about 50 Kgs, substandard sweets, fruits and vegetables besides two sample of Ladoo and Vanspati was lifted by the Food Inspector and sent to laboratory for analysis.
