JAMMU, Oct 28: A delegation of Pahari speaking people today pleaded with interlocutors to recommend granting of schedule tribe status to them.
The delegation of Pahari speaking people included Chief Organisor Mirza Abdul Rashid, Thakur Puran Singh, Tahir Naseem Manhas, Vijay Kochar, Naseeb Singh, Shabaz Khan, Nazit. Hussain Shah, Karamat Malik, and Kirtan Singh. Veteran Journalist Padgaonkar heard them patiently and promised to project the demand of Pahari speaking people in a right forum and before Prime Minister of India. The delegation apprised the interlocutors about the history of fight of Pahari speaking people for getting ST status.
