PDP slams J&K govt | Cross-LOC trade | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 28: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed Jammu and Kashmir government for its lack of interest and efforts in strengthening cross-LoC trade. PDP leader Shahzad Khan in a press release issued here today said that it is hard work and efforts of the Mufti Mohammed Sayeed led regime because of which cross-LoC trade could see light of the day. Shahzad further said that system of transaction also lacks an advanced communication arrangement as there is no phone connectivity with the other side of the LoC. Besides, Khan said that there are infrastructural shortcomings which are also creating obstacle in a free trade. Khan requested visiting high level delegation led by Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs to overcome and improve quality of trade. He also said that the authorities have put restrictions on the registration of new traders from the border districts of Rajouri-Poonch who want to come into the business. He said that such restriction should be removed and the traders from Rajouri-Poonch be given a chance as well as their due share in the trading system. Others who spoke on the ocassion included Choudhary Mushtaq, Choudhary Manzoor, Barkat Hussain, Haji Bashir, Nadeem Sheikh, Shabir Mirza, Mohammed Syeed, Tanveer Hussain, Murtaza Khan ,Razaq Pathan and others.
