Defying boycott call of KP bodies camp representatives | Displaced youth, Apex Committee members meet interlocutors | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 28: Though major Kashmiri Pandit organizations including Panun Kashmir, Joint Forum of KPs, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, Jammu Kashmiri Vichar Manch (JKVM), All India Kashmiri Samaj and non camp Migrant Association boycotted the interlocutors who are presently in Jammu to meet the cross section of people here, defying their call some KP Apex Committee members, representatives from camps and leaders of displaced Pandit youth organizations called on the visiting interlocutors here today and discussed the problems of the community with them to keep their view point on resolution of Kashmir issue. The KP camp delegation was led by Roshan Lal Raina member Apex Committee. Others who accompanied him included Bansi Lal Koul also Apex Committee member, Shadi Lal Pandita of Nove Soan Kashmir Front, Pintoo Ji and Raj Nath Dhar from Mishriwala Camp and Ashok Ji and Ravinder Kumar from Buta Nagar and Muthi Phase first respectively. The delegation who met Radha Kumar while apprising her of the problems of the displaced people made it clear that Kashmir is an integral part of India. They criticized the Centre for entertaining those who have waged a war against the national unity and integration at the cost of the nationalist and peace loving people including Kashmiri Pandits leading an exiled life for over last 20 years in their own country. They said the KPs the most peace loving community are presently in distress due to the wrong policies of Government of India. They highlighted the problem of relief holders, displaced employees and termed the recent employment package only an eyewash. Besides Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) delegation also met Radha Kumar and highlighted the problem of displaced youth. The delegation was led by Ajay Safaya and its other members included Manoj Handoo, B K Bhat and Sunil Koul. They demanded immediate implementation of employment package, age relaxation for over aged youth, one time compensation of Rs 25,0000 for over aged KP youth to start their own business and cancellation of affidavit for employment which totally violates the service rules. The delegation also demanded construction of Jagati type township in Kashmir Valley for the accommodation of displaced people. Another delegation led of Migrant Selectee Association (MSA) led by Sanjay Ganjoo met Dileep Padgoankar. The delegation, while putting forth the main demands regarding the issuance of appointment orders demanded abolishing of agreement regarding appointments, conversion of vacant category posts into general category and absorption of waiting list candidates on these vacant posts. They also demanded age relaxation for over aged youth in remaining 3000 state sponsored posts and issuance of immediate advertisements for the same. The other members of the delegation included Sanjay Bhat, Sunil Pandita, Suresh Bazaz, Krishan Ji and P K Koul. A delegation of Displaced Relief Holders Association also called on interlocutors and demanded that the monthly cash relief be enhanced to Rs 12,000 in view of the present soaring prices of essential commodities. They said that the displaced people who are leading an exiled life for last over 20 years in different parts of country are unable to make their both ends meet on paltry Sum of Rs 4000 as cash relief. They also criticized the GOI and blamed it of giving all concessions to separatists and anti national elements in the Valley while ignoring the displaced Pandits who have been forced to flee from the Valley due to Pak sponsored terrorism. After the failure of the Government in restoring their homes and hearts to the community, it has been totally unable to provide them the basic amenities of life in exile, they added. Earlier in the morning the interlocutors visited the Muthi camp to ascertain the problems of the displaced people there. |
