Addressing media persons, A N Vaishnavi, president, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference took a serious view of the evolving political scenario in the state and said such statements are unacceptable to the nationalist forces in the J&K state”. “The statement that ‘focus of this dialogue is to seek as large area of agreement as you can to get to arrive at a comprehensive, political settlement of the Kashmir dispute’ transgresses the stated Indian position on Kashmir and the unanimous Parliamentary resolution of 1994 on J&K state”, he mentioned, adding, ‘Kashmir is politically a settled issue and cannot be reopened for the caprice and whims of the anti-national elements that are bent upon to balkanize the country’. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo president PK maintained that the accession of Jammu and Kashmir, has taken place in the same manner in which it took place in case of other princely ruled states of India in 1947 and is full and final. ‘Article 370 of the Indian Constitution has proved to be the constitutional bedrock of secessionism and terrorism in Kashmir’, he alleged. H L Chatta, general ASKPC said that the decision to boycott the Interlocutors this time has been taken keeping in view the importance of national issues in the state. ‘It seems that the Interlocutors coupled with some human rights activists and intellectuals of India have already set in motion the process of balkanization of the nation into motion’, he alleged. D N Kissu, chairman, NCMCC, Virender Raina, Joint Forum Spokesperson were also spoke on the occasion.
