| `Council procuring mats for kabaddi nationals’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, October 29: The Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has decided to procure kabaddi mats to felicitate conduct of finals in the 22nd Sub-junior National Kabaddi Championships to be held in Jammu from November 10 to November 13.
This was disclosed by president of the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, Chaman Lal Gupta in an interaction with media, here late last evening.
Launching the strikers specially designed for the upcoming event, Gupta said, “The Sports Council is in the process of purchasing kabaddi mats to conduct finals of the Sub-junior National Kabaddi Championship on mats so as to match the playing facility with that of national standard.”
He also informed about other arrangements being made for the mega event wherein teams from almost all the states of the country are expected to take part.
The function was also aimed at interaction with other sports associations of the state by inviting office bearers for a get together. Besides others, officers of the State Sports Council and Department of Youth Services and Sports were present.
