Bhim urges PM to recall J&K interlocutors | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, OCT 29: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, JKNPP and Member, National Integration Council has urged Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India to recall the three musketeers who were dispatched to J&K as interlocutors. The Panthers Party Supremo in his letter addressed to Prime Minister said that the interlocutors have no role to play and proposed that they better be employed in some other ministry in appropriate place. The Panthers Party Chief objected to the statements of the interlocutors on three points. They call Kashmir situation as ‘Kashmir Dispute’ which he said was totally absurd, anti-national and against the established policy of India as has been demonstrated by. Krishna Menon during his historic reply to Pakistan on the floors of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Secondly, the interlocutors have pleaded for the inclusion of Pakistan in their agenda, which the Panthers Chief said, was highly undesirable and violation of the Code of Conduct which an interlocutor should have observed. Thirdly, the interlocutors’ new proposal which could be more dangerous than Dixon Plan that word, ‘Azadi’ should be allowed in the Constitution of India so far as J&K is concerned. Prof. Bhim Singh urged Prime Minister that the recommendations of the four Working Groups in J&K may be considered by the experts and Working Group-V should be reconstituted. This would help revive democracy in J&K and restore peace which is the need of the hour. He also hoped that angry Kashmiri leaders shall wind up their anti-national shops and join the national mainstream for the good of the people of entire State.
