| JJSF holds protest against Principal GGM Sc College | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 29: Continuing their tirade against the alleged dictatorial attitude of the GGM Science College Principal, Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) held a protest demonstration college premises here today.
Led by Mohd Arif, Rahul Ghai and Abhay Sharma, the students gathered at Shaheedi Sthal where they held a protest demonstration and shouted slogans against Principal and College administration.
They alleged that few months ago the axe of greed of Principal of the college fell on a rare species of trees Magnolia Grandiflora.
It was a tree from which the evaluation of plants started and which is also useful for the students of medical subjects, said a JJSF activist
There were only two plants of such species in Jammu Province.
The principal of GGM Science College was trying to suppress the voice of students by granting permission to police to arrest the students from the college premises.
The principal of the college asked police authorities to arrest the students who are leading the protest.
They demanded to the concerned department to take immediate high level enquiry to prove who ordered the cutting of tree.
After this the protesters students burn effigy of Dr MS Baloria (Principal, GGM Sc. College) and raised slogans against him.
