Kothe Sainiyan- a tale of neglected village | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 29: THE tall calims of the state government to provide basic facilities to the urban as well as remote and rural areas are proving false. This holds true for village Kothe Sainiyan of tehsil Bishnah, which still gropes in dark even after 62 years of Independence. The villagers have to bear the burnt of lack of the facilities since many decades but the state government is not fulfilling the basic demands of people.
Remarkably, the population of this village is more than 2000 and mostly scheduled caste community. There is no dispensary for the village and even high school is not available in the village.
Villagers said that the even the transport facilities are not provided properly in the village. Only 2-3 matadors are used to visit in the visit that too occasionally due to which the villagers have to walk a distance of 2.5 kilometers. Lack of the transportation and school facilities are adding to their woes. MLA Bishnah, Ashwani Sharma, when contacted, said that the villagers have not complained him about any of the grievances. Even then he would himself visit the village to take stock of the village.
