Soz may retain PCC mantle | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT New Delhi, Oct 30: Prof Saifuddin Soz is all set to be re-elected as President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, party sources said. They said the party election process is going on and several state party chiefs have been elected in the past few days. “There appears to be no opposition to Soz’s name for the post of JKPCC. Even as one section of the party backed by senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad was keen to get him removed from the post but the party high command is in no mood to make changes in the present organizational set up,” they said. Sources said Soz had recently met party Chief Sonia Gandhi, who favours his continuation as Pradesh Congress President. “He is likely to be re-election to the post by next week”. After competition of elections for state party presidents, All India Congress Committee (AICC) members will meet in November to finalize party's action plan for future. Sonia Gandhi has already been re-elected unopposed as the party president.
