Accused remanded to 5 day police custody | Kidnapping of 28 children | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU,Oct 30:Forest Magistrate Jammu Sandeep Kour today granted five day police custody of five accused of NGO Youth Movement for Peace’ (Sunehara Kal) for their alleged involvement in converting the 28 Ladhaki Children to Christianity. Today SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspector Vishal Sharma produced the accused persons namely Vikas Sharma son of Joginder Pal Sharma R/o Baba Jeevan Shah, Shaheedhi Chowk, chairman, Ranjana Sharma daughter of Raj Gopal Sharma R/o Patoli Mangotrian, a Government teacher, Bua David and Sukhdev Masih, both brothers and sons of Kartar Masih, resident of Resham Ghar and Gagandeep Singh son of Gajan Singh R/o Exchange Road, general secretary in custody along with an application seeking police remand of accused for eight days. Court perused the CD file and it transpires that accused were arrested on October 23, 2010 under FIR No 181/2010 u/s 295-A/363/ 365/ 344/420 and 120-B RPC. The investigation is still in initial stage, keeping in view that nature of the offence and the stage of investigation accused are remanded to police custody for five days till November 3, 2010. Court further directed SHO to produce the accused in Court after expiry of the remand period and also directed to conduct Medical Examination of accused after every 24 hours. JNF
