| Man stabbed inside his home, serious | | | JAMMU: Over a land dispute, a man was stabbed by five to six youth inside his home at Paloura here today. Police sources identified the victim as Rahul Koul, son of Suraj Koul, and one of the accused as Rajinder Singh. There is a dispute between the two parties over a piece of land which Suraj claims to have purchased from Daljeet Singh, a property dealer.
Sources said Narinder Gupta, said to be a Congress leader, Rajinder and their accomplices yesterday locked Rahul, Suraj and their other family members in a room of their house at Paloura and raised fencing around the nearby disputed plot.
Suraj had yesterday lodged a written complaint in this regard with the office of SSP, Jammu.
Sources said the trouble erupted today when Rahul, Suraj and one Amit Gupta dismantled the fencing raised by their rivals around the plot Friday.Rahul and Suraj went home after dismantling the fencing, the sources added. After sometime, the accused barged into their house and inflicted serious stab injuries on Rahul with sharp-edged weapons. They later fled the spot.
Rahul was admitted to the GMC hospital. While Rajinder and Amit had been taken into custody, the other accused were absconding.Police said they would probe into the matter and then register FIRs on behalf of both the parties.
