| Two boys sustain burns as cylinder catches fire | | | | JAMMU: Two minor boys sustained severe burn injuries after a LPG cylinder caught fire at their residence at Shaheedi Chowk here today.They were identified as Ricky (5) and Reetik (11), sons of Thomas Masih. Police sources said the boys were all alone at home when they went o the kitchen and mishandled the cylinder. As the gas leaked, the cylinder caught fire, resulting in burns to them, the sources added. When the fire spread, the cylinder exploded. Hearing the blast, some neighbours rushed to Masih's house and extinguished the fire with the help of firemen, who too had reached the spot. The boys were rescued and immediately evacuated to the GMC hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger. Masih, however, alleged that doctors came late to treat his sons. |
