Jammu, Oct 31: As most of the students in the Jammu University Campus are from outskrits regions, the majority and substantial number of students belonging to the Chenab Valley region met to discuss their grievances and joined hands for their collective cause and raised the banner of CVSF.
The leadership of Syed Azhar Jawad Hashmi was recognized and he was elected as the president of the Forum.
Rizwan-uz-zaman and Zain-ul-Abdein Bandey were also unanimously elected as vice-president and general secretary respectively of the main body of the forum.
Realizing their woes and of their fellows, they would initiate a movement from 15th of Nov. 2010 onwards from their region to be made a separate province.
Apart from being deprived of the political, local and economic right of the people of the region they also pledged to work for fighting their cause, as they realized that actually they were being discriminated.
They also raised the issues like, the RBA quota which is 27% but in the Jammu University only 2% is granted.
The portfolios of the forum were distributed and regional team and their respective heads were also elected.
Naseeb Ali was appointed as president Jammu University, Kamran as head Doda district and other members like Ranjeet, Sarang, and Arif too included. They bluntly proclaimed that they should fight for their legitimate needs and demands.
