Samooh Theatre stages ‘Safaid Baal’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 31: Samooh Theatre on Sunday staged a Hindi play ‘Safaid Baal’ at SRP high School, Kot- Bhalwal, Jammu. The play was based on the short story of renowned Hindi short story writer ‘Hari Shanker Parsai’. The play was about the irritation and helpless of a person who is having a one white hair on his head and gets embarrassed to see it as he is in great dilemma what to do it with this white hair. Neither he can dye and nor he can remove it from the root as there will be abundant of while hairs. Meanwhile the author of the story adds his own point of view about this white hair. He recommend and advised that this birth of white hair should be celebrated as a mega festival and one should not be frightened to have this and old generation to hand over the charge of his work to new generation as Raja Dashrath hand over to Lord Rama. He also quoted the other examples from Purana and Vedas about the old ages. The role of the Vayakti was tremendously enacted by Ravinder Sharma and the play was directed by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan while Inderjeet Singh Sambyal was the Assistant. Besides Daya Ram Daya was the production Manger and also done make-up to the artists. Earlier, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan in his welcome address said that the aim of staging the play was to make the students aware about the Indian Literature especially in Hindi and promote theatre in the J&K State. The play was witnessed by the students, staff and teachers of the school.
