| Trikuta Club wins friendly cricket tie | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, October 31: Trikuta Cricket Club defeated Choudhary Cricket Club by seven wickets in a friendly match organised to prepare for competitions ahead at University of Jammu grounds, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Choudhary Club made 124 runs losing all their wickets in 20 overs, which, in reply, Trikuta Club chased in 14 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Vikram was top scorer with 36 runs while Gurdeep Singh contributed 35 runs. From Trikuta Club, Arun Sharma and Ashok Sharma were most successful bowlers with three wickets each while Surjeet Singh took two.
Later, Trikuta Club chased the target making 125 runs in 14 overs with seven wickets in hand. Vishal and Puneet played unbeaten innings of 47 and 27 runs respectively. Arun Sharma contributed 19 runs. From Choudhary Club, Kulwinder Singh took two wickets. |
