JWAM hails JMC for anti-adulteration drive | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU,Oct 31: A delegation led by Sunil Dimple, President, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM), met the Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Satish Sawhney and the Health Officer Anwar Chodhary and appreciated the anti -adulteration drive launched by the corporation for the last one month. Dimple urged the Municipal Commissioner to continue its drive in the city and raid on the adulteraters and the godowns who have dumped khoya , sugar. desi ghee.
Dimple said all the main road “lights and street lights” in the localities of New plot, Sarwal, Rehari, Janipur, Amphalla Bantalab road, Talab Tillo, and constituency are out of order and there was complete darkness in the mohalla and on the main roads resulting into frequent accidents and also stray dogs and animals have made lives hell. He said the ERA department has damaged all the lanes, roads and drains of the West Constituency by laying sewerage pipes and the Municipal Corporation is yet to repair the lanes. He expressed concern over the slow pace development works of ERA and UEED for the construction of the drains, as most of the drains of Jammu City are 20 to 30 years old which needs immediate repair. Dimple demanded Commissioner for a special package for the drainage system . Municipal Commissioner, Satish Chander Sawhney and the Health Officer Anwar Chowdhary after giving a patient hearing assured Dimple that the anti adulteration drive will continue and the sanitation drive in the constituency will be closely monitored personally. Later Municipal Commissioner visited the localities of Jammu west constituency Amphalla, New Plot, Tali morh, Janipur, Sarwal and inspected the condition of development works and lights on he main roads as pointed by Sunil Dimple.
