Appointment of interlocutors meaningless: ANC | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 1: Awami National Conference (ANC) senior vice president Muzaffar Shah terms the appointment of interlocutors as meaningless. Talking to media persons here today, Shah said, "no doubt interlocutors were eminent in their field but I don't think they will make much difference in solving the problem in Kashmir". Concerned over the deteriorating situation created in Jammu and Kashmir, he appealed the right thinking people in the State to contribute their mite in ensuring a peaceful resolution of the vexed Kashmir issue that has bewildered the State for the past six decades. "The mishandling of situation by the coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah has crippled normal life in the valley during the last five months and adversely affected the entire State and the country", the ANC senior Vice President said. Deliberating ANC roadmap for solving Kashmir problem, Shah said that they are finalizing to hold the Five Region Summit (Intra J&K Civil Society Dialogue) in all the five regions of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State at Srinagar, Jammu, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzzaffarabad under a 15-month time bound Calendar beginning Jan 2011 to March 2012. Earlier, many political workers from National Conference, Congress and PDP joined ANC. |
